Meet the Instructor
Keith Fensom – a few words
Keith’s introduction to the martial arts was over 30 years ago when he trained in Shotokan Karate for 12 years mainly under Sensei Paul Perry head of Jin Sei Kai Karate Club and 9th Dan Karate Master. Keith was also privileged to attend numerous workshops lead by 10th Dan Sensei Kanazawa from Japan. It was during this time Sensei Perry introduced Tai Chi into the club and Keith had his first taste of internal energy and the principle of soft can overcome hard.
Following a protracted break from martial arts due to a foot injury Keith was introduced by a friend to Miss Rose Li who was principle of a large Tai Chi club in London, and was an instrumental figure in bringing Tai Chi into the West and USA. During a 6 year period up until her death in 2001 he attended her classes in London and at her home, and also workshops in Yorkshire. Her teachings of Tai Chi and Bagua were a great influence on Keith and set him firmly on the road to increasing his knowledge of these internal systems including Qigong.
In 2009 Keith joined the Ru-Chi Academy of Grand Master Rudie Bynoe which started his journey into Qigong meditation and Chen style Tai Chi being the first system of Tai Chi developed in China many years ago.
Keith is extremely grateful to all the various teachers who have enhanced and contributed to his experience over the years.
